Privacy policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

This policy explains how the companies in Ferner Group (“we”, “us”) process personal data when you visit fernergroup.no or contact us. Questions about privacy can be sent to post@fernergroup.no.

Who is the controller

The company you contact is the controller for your enquiry:

For the website itself, such as server logs, Ferner Event AS is the controller.

Our approach

This is a simple informational website, and we collect no more personal data than necessary. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, behavioural profiling or social-media tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes.

Information we process

When you visit the website, our hosting provider may process standard technical information in server logs: your IP address, browser and device, the pages requested, the referring address where available, the date and time of access and the response status.

When you send an enquiry through the form at Ferner Event or email us, we process what you provide: your name, email address, phone number and message. Please do not send sensitive information, such as health data, through the form.

A digital assistant (AI agent) may also send an event enquiry on your behalf through the website's API. It must have your consent, and we process the information in the same way as other enquiries.

Purposes and legal basis

We use technical information to deliver, maintain and protect the website and to investigate misuse or faults. We use the information in an enquiry to reply to you and follow up on what you ask about, for example a proposal for an event.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and communicating with people who contact us, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. When you ask for a proposal or quote, we also process the information to take steps before entering into an agreement, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We may also process personal data where necessary to comply with legal obligations.

Cookies, recipients and transfers

The website does not use analytics, advertising technologies or cookies. The website is hosted by Netlify, and our email by Domene.no. They and other providers of our IT systems process personal data as processors on our behalf. If a provider transfers personal data outside the EEA, we use a transfer mechanism permitted by the GDPR and provide information about the relevant safeguards on request.

Retention and security

Server logs are kept only for the period set by the hosting provider and for as long as necessary for security and troubleshooting. Enquiries from the form are sent to Ferner Event's email and may be stored in our overview of enquiries. We keep enquiries and email only for as long as necessary to reply to you and follow up, unless a longer period is required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (opens in a new tab). To exercise your rights, contact us at post@fernergroup.no.

Changes

We may update this policy when our processing changes. The current version is always available on this page.
